Fresh lotus leaf (half piece), turmeric root (6g), rice (50g), and rock sugar

Preparing method

Decoct the lotus leaf and turmeric root to make a solution first, use the herbal solution and rice to cook as porridge, simmer under low heat, when the liquid turns thick, turn off the heat and add rock sugar to taste. Serve warm, eat in the morning and evening regularly

Roast pork with hawthorn sauce

Ingredients

Fresh hawthorn fruits (200g), lean pork meat (250g), season with taste

Preparing method

Put the hawthorn into a saucepan, cook with 2 cups of water, bring to the boil and simmer for 1 hour, mash the fruit and drain out the juice, pour into another saucepan along with some sugar, bring the mixture to the boil, stirring continuously until the mixture turns thick, then put aside as a sauce. Cut the meat into long pieces, marinate with wine, soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil and ginger mash for one hour, and then roast under 200¢XC for 20 minutes. When serve, dip meat in the sauce

Ingredients

Kelp, coix seed and egg soup

Ingredients

Kelp (dried 15g, or fresh 30g), coix seed (15g), one egg

Preparing method

Slice the kelp finely, put the kelp and coix seed in a saucepan, cook with 1500ml of water, bring to a boil and then simmer for 90 minutes or until the ingredients become tendered thoroughly, beat the egg into the soup and stir immediately, turn off the heat, season with salt and pepper to taste

Bamboo shoot, lotus seed and loofah soup

Ingredients

Fresh loofah (150g), bamboo shoot (50g), fresh lotus seed (50g), and sliced ginger (5g)

Preparing method

Peel and chop the loofah and bamboo shoot into small pieces; put all the ingredients in a saucepan, and cook with 150ml of chicken stock and 150ml of water, bring to a boil, continuous for 30 minutes and turn of the heat
