芍藥 Shao yao peony root Radix Paeoniae

黃連 huang lian golden thread rhizome Rhizoma Coptidis
檳榔 bin lang betel nut Semen Arecae
木香 mu xiang costus root Radix Aucklandiae
甘草 gan cao liquorice root Radix Glycyrrhizae
大黃 da huang Chinese rhubarb Radix et Rhizoma Rhei
黃芩 huang qin baical skullcap root  Radix Scutellariae
肉桂 rou gui cassia bark Cortex Cinnamomi

Indications: damp-heat accumulated in the intestine that marked with pus and bloody diarrhea, tenesmus, a burning sensation in the anus, abdominal pain, yellow scanty urine and thick greasy yellow coating on the tongue. This is a common formula for painful dysentery.

主治：濕熱痢疾。表現腹痛，膿血便，赤白相兼，裏急後重，肛門灼熱，小便短赤，舌苔黃膩。本方為濕熱痢疾的常用方劑。
