I have started to have a very oily scalp lately. I've recently had hormones checked and it isn't that. Would anyone know what organs could be contributing?

From a Chinese medicine view, oily skin usually indicates that the body has accumulated excess dampness and heat pathogens, and also has a weakened spleen. Improper diet such as overeating greasy food is an important aggravating factor.
Suggest you keep a plain and easily digested diet and use selected shampoo
