I just started treatment for back pain & for
cholesterol (liver treatment) using Chinese
herbs from BJG Shen Nong Hua Yun (Beijing) - 2 types of treatment.
What food to avoid? I am also taking western medicine for controlling my cholesterol level and also for my back pain. According to the Chinese doctor, I can take these medicine also but what the time lapse between taking these 2 medicines (Chinese & Western). They didn't specify the time. Also ask not to take beans and water convulus and abstain from drinking Chinese tea.

It is hard to say what food to be avoided since I don’t know the ingredient of the medicine you take. You can read the labels and package for the indications, contra-indications, and precautions.
About the separate time for CM and WM. Should be aware whether the WM you take is some kind of long-acting drug and herbs-drugs interaction.
