I'm 36 and have been on dialysis since Thanksgiving Day 2004. The cause was from Alport's syndrome in the kidney. I've have many battles that I've overcome, but I'm currently facing a blood disorder that has been on going for 2 years now. I've had over 150 units of blood transfusions. My doctor have dispensed Prednisone to help with this matter. Unfortunately, this medicine is one that has many side effects and can't be taken for long periods of time. My doctor is now wanting to resort to surgery by taking out my spleen. This is a very scary factor and I'm very hopeful that there is an alternate choice.

Since you have the kidney problem, metabolic wastes and toxic can¡¦t be excreted from the body efficiently. Chinese herbs are in complex forms, which may further aggravate the condition. Acupuncture may not be helpful to you too.

Alport's syndrome should mainly manage in modern medicine. In some kidney cases, Chinese physicians may try moxibustion plus herbal enema.
