dang gui angelica root Radix Angelicae Sinensis 當歸
huang lian golden thread rhizome Rhizoma Coptidis 黃連
sheng di rehmannia root Radix Rehmanniae 生地
mu dan pi peony root bark Crotex Moutan 牡丹皮
sheng ma bugbane rhizome Rhizoma Cimicifugae 升麻

Indications: For heat accumulated in the stomach that presents with toothache (especially when the pain extends to the head), facial swelling, the teeth are sensitive to hot water, bad breath, mouth dryness, and a red tongue with yellow coating. It is also indicated for bleeding and soreness of the gums, or swollen and painful of the tongue, lips or jaws. With appropriate modifications, modern TCM uses the formula to treat stomatitis, trigeminal neuralgia, gingivitis, periodontal disease and idiopathic halitosis.

適應症：胃有積熱，表現牙痛牽引頭腦，面頰腫熱，牙齒惡熱喜冷，或牙肉潰爛，牙肉發炎出血，或唇舌頰腮腫痛，口氣熱臭，口舌乾燥，舌紅苔黃。現代多用於治療口腔炎、牙周病、三叉神經痛、舌炎、特發性口氣等。
