Great Tonify the Yin Pill

Indications: This is a usual formula for flaming up of virtual fire due to kidney and liver deficiencies, which result in like hectic fever, night sweats, seminal emission, irritability, coughing blood and a sensation of weakness, heat and pain in the lower limbs. The tongue is red with little coating, and the pulse is rapid and forceful at the chi region. With appropriate modifications, modern TCM often uses the formula for conditions such as hyperthyroidism, kidney or bone tuberculosis, bronchiectasis, diabetes mellitus, and neurasthenia.

主治：為滋陰降火常用方。肝腎陰虛，虛火上炎，致骨蒸潮熱，盜汗，遺精，咳嗽咯血，心煩易怒，足膝疼熱痿軟。舌紅少苔，尺脈數而有力。現代中醫臨床，常用於甲狀腺功能亢進、腎結核、骨結核、糖尿病、神經官能症、支氣管擴張症等，而有陰虛火旺表現者。
